Expertly hand carved from Jelutong wood and mounted on an elegant ebony wood base, this remarkable sculpture celebrates the Southern Right Whales that grace the shores of Cape Town each year to give birth and nurture their young.

Sadly, climate change and warming oceans are reducing the availability of food in Antarctic feeding grounds, making the long migration to South Africa increasingly difficult for many mothers.
